Corporación Dejando Huella is a non-profit that has been rescuing, sterilising and rehoming dogs near Medellín for 16 years.
A shelter built on donations.
We are dedicated to helping domestic animals living on the street or suffering abandonment and abuse. We rescue, treat, sterilise and find homes for them, and we run sterilisation drives in areas such as Urabá, where 1,173 animals were sterilised.

Where are you based?
Near Medellín, in Guarne, Antioquia, Colombia. Visits are by appointment.
Can I adopt a dog from another country?
Adoptions are arranged in Colombia, in person, after an application and a home check. If you live abroad you can help by donating or partnering with us.
Is my donation used for the animals?
It goes to maintain our current projects, develop new ones and respond to urgent cases of abandonment or abuse. We publish our financial statements and annual reports (in Spanish).
