Dejando Huella is a non-profit corporation based in Guarne, Antioquia (near Medellín, Colombia), dedicated to dogs and other animals living on the street or suffering abandonment and abuse.
Help us build a better shelter
We care for around 200 animals in a shelter near Medellín. Architecture, engineering, construction and materials companies can help us redesign the layout and build kennels, pathways and facilities that make daily care safer and easier.
Fund their care
Monthly giving, sterilisation campaigns and cause-driven products. Running costs are about COP 40 million a month, and 98% of our funding comes from voluntary donations.
Share your skills
Veterinary support, design, communications, translation and employee volunteering days. Visits to the shelter are arranged in advance.

Are you a registered non-profit?
Yes. Corporación Dejando Huella (NIT 901147348) is a non-profit corporation. Minutes, certificates and annual reports are published on our transparency page (in Spanish).
Can a company or foundation outside Colombia partner with you?
Yes. You can give through PayPal and we can discuss other options. Tax treatment depends on your country, so please confirm it with your advisor.
Can my company get a donation certificate?
Tell us your case. Tax aspects depend on each company and on the corporation’s status: confirm them with your accountant.
Can we run a short campaign or a one-off project?
Yes. A campaign, a donation drive, a sterilisation day or a construction project can all be agreed for a limited time.
Can our team visit or volunteer?
Yes, by appointment. Write to us with your dates and group size and we will coordinate it.
